HOW TO: Concealed Subwoofer (don't laugh at me)

Postby benc07 » Wed Nov 11, 2009 10:01 pm

Beyond the fact that your all laughing, like a few of you (that I've met) have done, at me for keeping my subwoofer in my Jeep (I'm a loser but I like my Rock n' roll) I deviated a brilliant plan (that I stole off of Over'haulin) to conceal my 12" speaker, while keeping it look like its off road worthy. What I did (after everything was wired up) was to put my amp underneath my drivers seat, then I bought a 5 gallon gas can. I looked for one that looked like a jerry can, but I couldn't find one. I cut a 10" hole out of it and made few adjustments, until it fit nicely. I cut a small square out of the bottom corner, opposite side, for the speaker wires to run out. Now it looks like I have a gas can in the back, until I turn it around. Once I figure out how to put pics on here I will.If any of you are interested, I don't mind helping you out. Here's a pic of my jeep when I posted the bumpers on craig's list. In the bed you can see the subwoofer. Image

Well this way takes up very little room, so you might wanna think about it. I put my amp under my Drivers seat and this box can fit between my passengers seat and the lip behind it
